Shamanism is an ancient, cross-cultural spiritual practice rooted in the belief that everything is alive and interconnected, where the shaman serves as a bridge between the physical and spirit worlds—using rituals, drumming, meditation, and journeys to heal, seek guidance, and restore harmony within individuals and communities. As shared in The Owl and the Alchemist, this practice invites us into deep relationship with nature, spirit, dream, and story. It's not about fixing or escaping, but about restoring connection — to Earth, to soul, and to what is sacred in everyday life.
Gifts from the forest - 3 owl feathers, a chewed deer bone, and a seashell. All found in the forest near my home (yes, even the shell!).
As an Owl Spirit, feathers play a particularly strong role in my shamanic practice. Turkey feathers in this photo
My shamanic practice weaves together ancient methods for entering altered states of consciousness; often through drumming, breath, or silence — allowing me to journey to the spirit world. In these realms, I meet with guides, ancestors, and animal allies who offer insight, healing, and direction. I walk this path with reverence, guided by the presence of Odin as a current of light within me. As a modern-day wanderer, I carry that light into the world — listening, learning, and sharing it with those I meet.
I offer healing ceremonies that draw on a variety of energy healing techniques, often incorporating sacred tools like sticks, stones, feathers, and bones — each carrying the unique energy and spirit of the natural world. Guided by Spirit and deep listening, these sessions support emotional and physical healing, restoring balance and connection in the body, heart, and soul.
